Acting upon Your Excellency's instructions dated the 30th. September, 1912, your Committee re-opened its enquiry for the purpose of investigating certain points brought forward by the Captain Superintendent of Police, as further grounds for his exculpation, since your Committee's earlier enquiry.
The points referred to are:-

That the Covernment had in fact given permission for the occupation of the matsned on the Island utilized by the suropean Sergeant.
That the late Covernor Sir F. Lugard visited the station in June, 1911, was specifically show tue nousing
